Learn to prospect for gold from a pro. With over a quarter century of experience swinging his metal detector all over BC and the Yukon, your instructor will teach you how to successfully search the ground for the elusive metal.

This advanced course is designed for professional and recreational prospectors, students, miners and hobbyists alike. Field-related skills for epithermal gold deposits prospecting with a metal detector will be explained, demonstrated and practiced. This will include ground balancing, control set-up, ground mineralization, coil use, and advanced detecting techniques. Students will complete field exercises, try multiple detecting techniques, and participate in lectures. For class demonstrations we will use a Fisher Gold Bug 2, a White’s TDI Pro and a Nokta Gold Kruzer. Our mineral properties are located in the BC Interior. Equipment and transportation is the responsibility of the course participant, see field course notes.
